Charles is one of the best kiddos we know. The beach and riptide 2 next gen gang wouldn’t be the same without him. He’s the best pyramid topper we could ask for and always brings the best attitude to all our crazy days.

Charles is a champion, and the Dodson Family is spectacular. We’re happy to support this important research.

About Team Charles

As many of you know, a few days shy of his second birthday, Charles was diagnosed with Coffin-Siris Syndrome due to a de novo mutation in the ARID1B gene. At the time he was the 824th diagnosis in the world. A challenge of having a rare disease is that there isn't a medical roadmap to follow and there isn't enough critical mass to get funding for research. Coming together as FAR families we have achieved so much in the past 2 years - and we cannot thank you all enough for your generous support! Thanks to your generosity, there are now 4 new ARID1B-RD research projects, a natural history study, global conversations between researchers and scientists about routes to treatment for our children and almost $3million dollars invested in ARID1B-RD work thanks to your donations and the power of the FAR community! We are also hosting the world’s first ARID1B-RD scientific roundtable next weekend, bringing together for the first time leading international scientists and researchers specifically to discuss charting a path to new treatments for ARID1B-RD. And today, we have the opportunity to make an even grater impact. Every cent, euro and dollar we raise up to $50k will be matched and if we can raise the full $100k we will be able to launch the FARther Together Grants to support the development of new ARID1B treatment pathways!
