About Noah's Team

For those of you who don’t know us well we have two beautiful boys. Both cheeky, full of life and laughter and fun and a drive to do everything for themselves. 

But they have one big difference. Our youngest Noah, thanks to small changes in one gene before he was born, is not able to speak, struggles to learn and communicate and at the moment is likely to need care for all of his life. This is because he was born with a rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorder called ARID1B-RD.

At the moment there are no treatments for this disorder but last year we and a group of other parents set up FAR - the Foundation for ARID1B Research - (www.arid1b.org) with a mission to do everything we can to accelerate the development of life-changing treatments for ARID1B-RD.

We now have work underway on two world first projects into potential ARID1B-RD treatments. We also have an extraordinary, expert, international Scientific Advisory Board, hundreds of other families in our new community and lot of future plans.

But to take the next steps and to see if we really can create treatments that will help Noah, and the hundreds of other amazing children with ARID1B-RD – and maybe, just maybe one day give Noah his voice – we need to raise money.
